MTS Names New Head Coach


Louis Demetriades, currently head coach of the NGSV Gators in Laguna Hills, CA has been selected as the new MTS head coach.  His first day with MTS will be September 14th.
Louis is certified as a Level 5 Coach with the American Swimming Coaches Association--the highest level a coach can attain. Since he assumed management of the NGSV Gators in 2001, the team has doubled in size and individual swimmer results have improved at every age group.  Louis has had a swimmer qualify for the Pan Am Games and many swimmers make the Top 16 National individual and relay finalist lists.  Prior to joining the Gators, Louis was the Head Age Group Coach for the Nashville Aquatic Club where he coached a number of swimmers to individual and relay National Top 16 final times. He was awarded the Age Group Coach of the Year for the Southeastern LSC in 2000 and he served on the Southeastern Zone coaching staff in 1999.
A graduate of the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Louis and his wife Suzanne (a former competitive swimmer) have a 5 year-old son, Louie, and a German Shepherd, Bosley.
